Abstract

A novel may be termed as fictitious narrative of the untrue, made-up events but the extent of reality in it makes it closer to the basic life. Inclusion of the real-life events in novel not only makes it easier to relate with but also it comprises of the historical events in between the lines. Novels allow us to visit the distant happenings in past and relive the experiences of people going through it. This approach makes every Novel a piece of history. Thus history and historical narratives are a crucial piece of every novel written ever. Novel is the closest genre of literature that brings out similarities of the human society. Every passing day in a society is actually a day that may later be termed as "history" so the novel is comprehended and embraced as the wide vista of history. This following article implies the importance of history in this loveable classification on literature. This article finds the relation between fictitious novel and history and explores the possibilities of representation of significant past events in Novel.
