Abstract
In this article, an attempt is made to technically determine the character of Novelt, a popular type of prose Urdu literature, in which the journey from novel to novellate goes from novella to short novel, sometimes from novellate to novelleti. This evolutionary period of the novella is described in this article in the light of the views of experts and critics of English and Urdu literature on fiction. The definition, meaning and definition of the genre novel are also clarified.
